Event Details

Wading through all the competing information about Flex application architecture can be confusing.  In this eSeminar, Tom Bray will summarize the issues that a Flex architect faces and he'll demonstrate how using dependency injection to wire your objects together can make your job easier and make your code more reusable, testable, and readable.

There are a number of options for implementing dependency injection in Flex, including Mate, Swiz, Parsley, and Spring ActionScript.  Tom will be demonstrating using Spring ActionScript.  The concepts learned can be applied to the other Flex DI containers.  Java developers experienced with Spring will find Spring ActionScript quite familiar.

Spring ActionScript also has built in support for Cairngorm and PureMVC, so if you're familiar with those frameworks, it can save you a significant amount of time.
